My name is Robert-Paul Jansen and I'm a photographer based in the south of the Netherlands.
I have always been drawn to cameras and photographs, but my love for photography exploded when I started to use the iPhone as my daily camera. The limitations of this tiny sensor forced me to learn about composition and how to use the available light among other things. This made me grow as a photographer.
My work consists of a range of subjects that vary from desolate landscapes to exciting cities and everything in between. I love to wander in the silence of mist.
Photography changed the way I look at our world. It made me more aware of the beauty that surrounds us everyday. My goal is to make people see that beauty sometimes might be hiding .. but is waiting to be exposed and celebrated.
At the moment I am setting up a print store, but a selection of my work is available as a digital download at Stocksy United.
I do a limited amount of collaborations and commissioned work. I'd love to hear from you.
I have tried other cameras, but have choosen for the superior design and quality of the Fujifilm X series cameras. I deliberately keep my gear to a minimum so I can concentrate on the actual shooting and the surroundings. I only use natural light and want to be able to carry everything in my camerabag.
