Robert-Paul Jansen is a photographer based in the south of the Netherlands.

From the moment he picked up his first camera, RP was hooked on photography. His continuing appreciation of photography and design eventually led him to Rotterdam, where he studied Communication (advertising, media and design).

After discovering the iPhone as a camera in 2010 his love for photography exploded and his new creative life was born.

The limitations of the sensor of the iPhone 3g forced him to push the limits of the device in search of the best exposure and the right composition. By constantly pushing the technical boundaries of his device during these early days of mobile photography, Robert-Paul gained a reputation at the forefront of this burgeoning genre, and grew considerably as a photographer.

After owning several other cameras he eventually has choosen for the design and quality of the Fuji X-cameras and bought a Fuji X100 in the end of 2011. Currently he uses the Fujifilm X-Pro1 with several lenses to capture the world around him. His goal is to make people more aware of the tiny, special details around them. Robert-Paul is a firm believer that beauty can be found anywhere, you just have to be open to see it.. As he sees it, these tiny details can become single-frame fairytales.

Robert-Paul recently became part of Stocksy United, a stock photography co-operative owned and operated by artists.

His work has been exhibited all over the world including gallery exhibitions in New York, London, San Francisco, Orlando, Rotterdam and Reno (Italy), and has been featured on numerous websites and magazines.
